MonkeyLeague is thrilled to kick off its first ever breeding season on October 26, 2022.
The news follows last month’s momentous partnership between MonkeyLeague and reigning Italian Serie A champions AC Milan. After the announcement, the floor price of MonkeyPlayer NFT jumped significantly.
MonkeyLeague Breeding is a feature that allows holders of two or more Monkey NFTs to breed them together to generate additional MonkeyPlayer NFTs. This feature allows players to complete their squad, create more squads or swap them.
The breeding feature will be driven by seasons or themes, where those who participate can receive limited edition traits in their new MonkeyPlayers. MonkeyLeague’s first breeding season will be themed around its recent partner AC Milan, where limited edition AC Milan branding traits will appear in the new Monkeys.
To participate, players must hold two MonkeyPlayer NFTs and a breeding capsule to breed new players. Each MonkeyPlayer can spawn up to four times. The first time is free, and subsequent races cost an increasing percentage of Gen Zero MonkeyPlayer’s current average sale price.
The initial sale of breeding capsules is strictly reserved for a limited number of players with the role of “MonkeyPioneer” on the MonkeyLeague Discord server. Becoming a MonkeyPioneer requires server members to verify that they hold a MonkeyPlayer NFT.
This highly anticipated feature will launch as the first versions of the MonkeyLeague game are expected to be released over the next few months.
