Social organizations, Trade Unions, business bodies celebrate I’Day with fervour, gaiety

JAMMU, Aug 16: Various social organizations, trade unions and business organizations celebrated the 75th Independence Day with fervour and great Charm across Jammu region yesterday.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Jammu celebrated the 75th Independence Day with enthusiasm and nationalistic fervour here on Sunday. In this connection an impressive programme was organised in Chamber House which commenced with hoisting of National Flag by Arun Gupta president, CCI in presence of other office bearers of the Chamber. Hoisting of National Flag was followed by singing of National Anthem. During the function the martyrs who laid down their lives for protecting country’s unity and integrity were also remembered.
Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) unit Jammu celebrated the independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit in Bishnah constituency in which Sarpanches and Panches of the area also participated. Gulchain Singh Charak, president DSS and former Minister hoisted the National Flag and paid rich tributes to lakhs of people who laid down their lives during the struggle of independence. Charak also recalled the historic significance of the day.
Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust celebrated the 75th Independence Day with full patriotic fervour at its Office Shalamar road Jammu. President of the Trust, Ajay Gandotra unfurled the National Flag in presence of secretary of the Trust, Dr Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma and employees. This was followed by singing of National Anthem.
Convener Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj and former Commissioner JMC, Kiran Wattal hoisted the National Flag at a function organised by Vishaw Kashmiri Samaj at Jagti township Nagrota. Wattal was chief guest on the occasion and people of the township including women and children attended the function. Pintoo Ji , Prem Sharma, Kuldeep Luthra and many others participated in recitation of National Anthem on the occasion.
An impressive function was held at Bari Brahmana Industrial Association Office, Bari Brahmana yesterday in connection with celebration of 75th independence Day in presence of Lalit Mahajan, president BBIA. Tarun Singla senior vice president , Ajay Langer, vice president and other members of Association and Civil Society were present. The president of the Association Lalit Mahajan hoisted the National Flag which was followed by singing of National Anthem.
Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Jammu celebrated the Independence Day at Shiva Chowk , Nanak Nagar in which BVP Prant president , Ashok Khajuria hoisted the Tricolor. The event was organised by BVP president Gopal Dutta its branch secretary, Sushil Ojha, and treasurer, Ravi Gupta.
Nation’s Development Association (NDA) affiliated with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangthan celebrated Independence Day yesterday at Bishnah in which senior functionaries including its chairman, retired bureaucrats, social activists, and heads of frontal organizations participated. The activists of NDA unfurled the National Flag on the occasion.
Dogra Youth also celebrated the Independence Day at a function held here, yesterday and unfurled the National Flag. Bhanu Pratab Singh, president, Dogra Youth on the occasion recalled the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
The 75th Independence Day was celebrated with due fervour , gaiety and befitting manner in the Home of Aged and Infirm , Ambphalla yesterday in which all the inmates of the Home participated. I D Soni , president of the Home and Vijay Bhagotra its secretary, Dinesh Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Vinod Kumar and Sunita Shatosh, Dy Director Helpage India and others hoisted the National Flag.
Bharatiya Yog Sansthan Jammu celebrated the Independence Day in its Ashram Gole Gujral. The celebrations commenced with Samohik Yog Sadhana. This was followed by unfurling of Tricolour jointly by Satpal Karlopa, corporator who was the chief guest, Baldev Khullar president, Civil Society Jammu and Satya Pal Sharma , president BYS J&K.
All J&K Christian Sabha (AJK CS) also celebrated the Independence Day yesterday at a function held at Ambphalla Chowk in which Ashu Peter Mattoo , president AJKCS, hoisted the National Flag.
The 75th Independence Day was celebrated by Yamberzul at its Head Office Rajpura Mangotrian here with great pomp and show in which Bal Krishan Bhat its chairman and Sanjay Nagar, vice president hoisted the National Flag and distributed sweets among the participants.
Bharatiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan celebrated 75th Independence Day here yesterday with great enthusiasm at Open Air Theatre, Durga Nagar. The function was inaugurated by Yash Pal Sharma , councilor JMC, Ward 35 as chief guest who unfurled the National Flag on the occasion.
Residents of Kana Chak border organised a function yesterday to celebrate the Independence Day. The function started with flying of pigeons. The National Flag was hoisted by Ram Lal Sharma senior citizen of the village and Milki Ram Pandit.
Aadarsh Bhartiya Samaj celebrated the Independence Day with enthusiasm and gaiety yesterday. Honorary Flying Officer (retd) Khem Raj hoisted the National Flag on the occasion.
Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha organised an impressive function here at Mahajan Bhawan yesterday to celebrate the Independence Day. Ramesh Chander Gupta , president of the Sabha along with top brass of the organization unfurled the National Flag under the melodious tune of “Jan Gan Man’’. A patriotic poem was recited by C P Gupta on the occasion.
Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar, Jammu celebrated 75th Independence Day yesterday. A Yagya was performed in the morning by Samaj’s Purohit Ranvijay Shastri in which homage was paid to freedom fighters.
The 75th Independence Day was celebrated by Dogra Brahman Pratindhi Sabha, Chankya Chowk, here at Parade. On the occasion Ved Parkash Sharma president of the Sabha hoisted the National Flag and the members presented sang the National Anthem.
Red Ribbon Club of GDC R S Pura in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society conducted online slogan writing competition on TB Awareness and prevention under the chairmanship of Dr G S Rakhwal, Principal GDC, R S Pura. The main motto of this event was to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and celebration of 75th Independence Day.
National Flag was hoisted in the premises of Jammu Red Cross Home for Handicapped Udaywala on the occasion of 75th Independence Day by M C Kapoor president of the Home.

Another function was organised by All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) in which its president Desh Rattan hoisted the National Flag.
The 75th independence Day was celebrated by Balgran a charitable Home for Destitute Children , Channi Rama near here which was attended by members of Balgran and teachers. The National Flag was hoisted by president of Balgran, A K Khajuria and inmates and school children sang the National Anthem.
Vigyan Parishad celebrated the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav by launching its maiden invited talk series through online platform in collaboration with Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (IETE) Jammu, Sub Centre. Prof J P Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST, Jammu was the chief guest and main speaker on the occasion. Gautam Mengi former Principal, Government Dental College Jammu Seh Sangchalak RSS J&K, was the guest of honour. The contributions of freedom fighters were highlighted by speakers on the occasion.
The Bull Riders Cafe, one of the biggest riding group in Jammu district, led by Vikramjeet Singh Manhas,organised a huge bike rally along with more than 70 bikers on the occasion of independence day. The bike rally was started from Jammu Panjtirthi Chowk to Jhajjar Kolti where flag hoisting ceremony was held and breakfast provided to all bikers also. All the bikers were fully enthusiasts and the rally was done by abiding all traffic rules. All the bikes were following formal sequence. The main purpose of rally was to mark the celebration of independence day. An impressive display of flags on all the bikes showed the patrioitic ethos of our great nation.
Sharda Institute of Computer Education of Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra Anand Nagar Bohri Jammu celebrated the Independence Day at Sharda Bhawan yesterday.
The programme started with flag hoisting ceremony followed by recitation of National Anthem. C L Garoo made the welcome address. Dr Usha Kher, DySP was the chief guest on the occasion.
The Independence Day was celebrated by Kendriya Arya Yuvak Parishad J&K with great charm and enthusiasm at Janipur here. The children also took part in the programme. On the occasion National Flag was hoisted by Arya Samaj president, Subash Babbar and secretary Ramesh Khajuria.
Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) celebrated 75th Independence Day at its Headquarters Muthi yesterday in which its president, R K Bhat hoisted the National Flag.
Durga Nagar Sector 2 Welfare Committee Durga Nagar –Roop Nagar also celebrated the Independence Day yesterday and hoisted the National Flag. The members of the Committee including its president and other office bearers besides residents of the area were present on the occasion.
All J&K Plus 2 Officers Association celebrated 75th Independence Day at Sainik Colony. All the Executive members of the Association attended the function and the National Flag was hoisted by its president, Dr Prithvi Raj Raina.
Central Government Pensioners Welfare Association, Jammu also celebrated 75th Independence Day yesterday. The flag hoisting ceremony took place at lawns of Day Care Centre for Elders at Exhibition Ground. The National Flag was hoisted by P P Sharma former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Dr Ashok Bhan former DGP jointly.
The 75th Independence Day was celebrated by members of Bicycle for Change, Club Kathua. The scores of riders of the Club attended the function and hoisted the Tricolour.
Employees of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) hoisted the National Flag at PDD Complex, Janipur.
Vikas Dewan a social activist unfurled the National Flag at Udaywala, Bohri yesterday at a function organised by the residents of the area.
Bank of India celebrated the Independence Day at its Head Office yesterday with great fervour and charm. Executive Director, P R Rajgopal,Swarup Dassgupta, M Karthikeyan, Monika Kalia, CVO, L N Rath and All general managers of the Bank were present in the function.
The 75th Independence Day was also celebrated by K P Sabha in its premises Ambphalla yesterday. On the occasion Sabha president, K K Khosa hoisted the National Flag in presence of senior office bearers of the Sabha. The Flag hoisting was followed by singing of National Anthem by the members.

The Water Works (PHE) Employees Association celebrated the 75th Independence Day at Company Bagh here yesterday. On the occasion, Shiv Kumar Sharma, State president, INTUC was the chief guest who hoisted the National Flag. This was followed by singing of National Anthem by the gathering.
The 75th Independence Day was celebrated at Arya Samaj Daya Nand Marg City Chowk Jammu yesterday. On the occasion Balwan Singh general secretary of the Samaj performed hawan and prayed for welfare of humanity and peace. The 75th Independence Day was also celebrated by Mission Modi at a function here in which the senior functionary of the organization, Ramesh Khajuria hoisted the National Flag and threw light on the sacrifices of freedom fighters. It was followed by recitation of National Anthem by the gathering.
Sulabh International Social Service Organisation J&K celebrated the 75th Independence Day yesterday at its Head Office, Trikuta Nagar, here in which Sahil Kumar hoisted the National Flag. He has been awarded the best social worker for his valuable contribution to the organization.
Safa Valley Group Housing celebrated the Independence Day yesterday at Bathindi area. On the occasion the National Flag was unfurled by Rajesh Rathore its Director and G M Mir Sharwardy .Sweets were distributed among the gathering.

All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC)) celebrated the 75th Independence Day at its office Durga Nagar in which the president of the organization, R K Wangnoo hoisted the National Flag in presence of Sanjay Pandita vice president, Veena Gurtoo president Women Wing and Ravi Raina president Youth Wing.
The 75th independence Day was celebrated at Udhampur by Udhampur Development Council (UDC) at a great function in which Anil Paba its president hoisted the National Flag.

Tawi Welfare Society (TWS) celebrated the75th Independence Day at Apnavan Sure Chak near here by organizing an impressive function yesterday. Kavi Raj, president of the society hoisted the National Flag in presence of its general secretary , Yash Paul Malhotra.
Buta Nagar TRT residents also celebrated the 75th Independence Day yesterday. On the occasion Ashok Dhar a social and political activist hoisted the National Flag.
Independence Day was also celebrated with great charm by National Incredible Literacy Mission (NILM) at Roop Nagar near here. On the occasion Thakur K D Kurhan chairman. NILM hoisted the National Flag.
