R&B veteran Kelly Price scared fans last September after her sister began circulating a report that she had disappeared and that her husband may have been behind a plot to take over her succession. Later, we found out from the “As We Lay” singer herself that she was in fact dealing with a serious diagnosis of COVID-19 privately and her husband was the primary carer for her.
Following a recent interview with VLAD-TVPrice gave even more insight into the whole ordeal which revealed her sister’s plans for a conservatorship similar to Britney Spears’ situation and possible theft of money from within her own family.
Speaking to comedian Luenell, the popular 90s singer gave insight into what she was really going through during her hospital stay, saying: “‘When I went to the hospital they stopped the visits. Men weren’t allowed to come to the hospital with their wives having babies when I was in the hospital,” and also added, “I was unconscious for days actually. My heart stopped, I was medically dead. They were able to revive me. Price confirmed that she was not secretive about the diagnosis, especially since she announced it herself, but did not announce it earlier due to the fact that she did not was in no physical condition to make a public appearance at the time. .
As for her husband, she says he got very sick himself while taking care of her, and it turned out that it was his own sister who was doing no good.

“I almost had ‘Britney Spears’ this summer,” Kelly said of the issues with her sister, adding, “There was guardianship involved by a specific family member, and some family members I have a great aunt who had something to say to my sister about it and she said, “Why would you do that?” [Kelly Price] he dies [her husband] gets everything.
We hate to see black families fighting, especially in public. Considering the massive amount of losses they have suffered, we hope that Kelly Price and her siblings can settle their differences sooner rather than later.
